Ted Baker, the early years

When I was first starting out in the world of metal custom fittings, I had the incredible opportunity to work with a then-little-known bespoke tailor named Ted Baker. He tasked me with creating a one-of-a-kind mannequin to showcase his shirts, shoes, and accessories in his UK shops.

As I put all of my creativity and skill into designing and making the mannequins, little did I know that Ted Baker the brand would go on to become a global sensation with a billion-pound turnover. While I know that I can’t take credit for all of the brand’s success, I’m proud to have played a small part in its early days.

This exciting and enjoyable venture helped to launch my career as an up-and-coming designer, and I will always be grateful for the opportunity to work with such an innovative and visionary brand.
